Maryam Mehri Dehnavi
Assistant Professor has been awarded a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Parallel and Distributed Computing. She is one of 22 U of T researchers awarded a new Canada Research Chair by the Government of Canada.
The Canada Research Chair program is at the centre of a national strategy to make Canada one of the world’s top countries in research and development.
Tier 2 Chairs are awarded to exceptional emerging researchers, acknowledged by their peers as having the potential to lead in their field.
Dehnavi’s research group, , develops novel systems, compilers, and mathematical methods to improve the performance of large-scale and big data applications on parallel and cloud platforms.
