Three DCSIL supported teams from U of T will travel to Vancouver for this year's National finals on Saturday, May 28. There are six Canadian teams competing and the winner will advance to the World Finals.
The new U of T chairs 鈥 Al谩n Aspuru-Guzik, David Fleet, Daniel Roy and Bo Wang 鈥 join another eight at U of T who were named among the inaugural group last fall and are all associated with the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
鈥淟anguage is a lens into the mind,鈥 says U of T computer scientist Frank Rudzicz. 鈥淗ow you鈥檙e feeling, what you鈥檙e thinking, what your cognitive performance is 鈥 it鈥檚 all revealed through your language.鈥
鈥淐hange is threatening for many people, and the only way you address that is by bringing them into the conversation,鈥 says Steve Easterbrook, director of U of T鈥檚 School of the Environment.
